If you are ready to be blown away (literally) then make your way to the Sky lounge located on the 19th floor of The Royal Plaza located at Ashok road, Connaught place. The place makes for an apt evening with someone you are willing to impress but keep the weather in mind as they do not have a rain cover. The decor looks absolutely serene with a soothing blue emit and the perfect view of almost all the central Delhi works as a cherry topping.

It was shatteringly cold on the evening I made It there, with enough air to blow your mind out of your head.Hence, I had to ask for an open air heater to keep me warm and then there was obviously food to cover the rest. I started with the healthy Norwegian smoked salmon platter- there’s not much that can go wrong in a dish like this but there’s something always so appealing about the salmon that I barely let it flip through the long list of menu.

To balance the fish with selections from the vegetarian section, I tried the Mezze platter with Hummus, Baba ganoush and Labneh(hung curd) which tasted great, although the exceptional looking pita bread was dry. From the European mains, I tried the grilled free-range chicken breast, which was tender and juicy chicken served over a bed of mashed potatoes and a thyme reduction.

From the Mughal Indian section – which has become a necessity at any place serving food – I tried only the mutton dum biryani which had a great fragrance and well-cooked meat. but the sheer fact that it was loaded with onions killed the texture of the biryani. The last bit was the Green tea crème brulee which was a saving grace for this place, with great texture and a sublime taste.

The PLF for the place is 2500 INR for 2, the place can be contacted on (011) 33105780 for prior bookings and the suggestive orders are Mushroom cappuccino soup, smoked salmon and chicken breast.

  1. Well , Dum Biryaani is not every one s class. Specially people from North like the flavor and the ingredients to be very balanced against the South who like additional lingering tinge of the Masalaas.
