The Leg 4 of my #BhawanTrail happened at #MaharastraSadan over some super spicy and nostalgic food. The place is not a makeshift one; its a fully functional small scale cafe, unlike other statehouse canteens.
They run a full course of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner from 7 am to 11 pm every single day. The menu has some good options too.
Ordered the vegetarian special thali which comprises of dal, chana, zunka, kachumar, thecha, bhakri, masala bhat, papad and shrikhand phew.. The thali is steal in 150 INR, loved the zunka and bhakri although a slightly lighter kachumar would have done the magic.
Ordered a saoji chicken as Mutton was out of stock, which ensured I dripped from my head to shirt. Hot as hell but somehow I have a feeling, the ones I used to have in Maharashtra were still spicier. People in Nagpur would find this mild too.
In all, I recommend this place to everyone for a great budget Marathi meal!!
Vegetarian Special Thali – INR 150
Chicken Saoji – INR 200
