Indianness version 2.0

Progressive Indian cuisine has been the focus for the past 2 years and you realize you have attained some level at it when you can possibly consummate something from two extreme ends, just like Lights Camera Action from Rajouri Garden does with bringing along our humble old school chaat and modern day nitrogen for cryogenic process.

The pub is located on second floor just off the main road, at a walk-able distance from Rajouri garden metro station. It’s unusually crowded even at odd hours. The management says 4 pm to 6 pm is their peak time of the weekdays; that certainly is a trend changer. To promote the modern cuisine with a twist every table earns a complimentary Amuse bouche (generally a Mango-lassi sphere) and some popcorn. The food is mostly easy going food that has mass demand and attraction.

My orders was partially off the menu too as chef Aman wanted me to try his new creations so here they are. The first one being estylish sev poori which was sev poori with froth of green chutney and yogurt, fresh and crunchy nothing much to ponder or even mess with; cut to chase I’d say.

Kukkad Kamal Da
Kukkad Kamal Da

Kukkad Kamal da is chicken tikka topped with quattro formaggi, i.e. four cheese chicken tikka which is quiet an iteration for the basic chicken tikka. The wrapping of cheese overload, makes it simply melt down from your tongue right down to your stomach, without much hassle of even chewing it. A nitrogen virgin mojito is everything but the basic virgin mojito. Its white crystals placed in a glass for you and for a moment, you are forced to think are you supposed to drink or eat the little white crystals? It’s great on the taste and visual appeal, but the sheer act of picking your spoon every-time makes it grody when you just wanna sip into something easy.

Mutton Seekh Mint Balls with Tzatziki & mint air

The mutton seekh milt balls with Tzatziki and mint air is something that’s not to be missed for its rich flavour and stark combination with yogurt and olive oil. The very berry mutton pulao is a beautiful reminder of Britannia from Bombay very well known for hoarding crowd for its berry pulao.

The Have break, have kitkat is a funnel cake picked from the North American streets, stuffed with Kitkat chocolate and dusted with sugar and dry fruits is something that’s calming and simple to end a meal with, although some fresh fruits and maple syrup would make it more pristine.

In all, the place is definitely worth a try. The PLF (pocket loosening factor) is 1800 INR for two. The place can be contacted at (011)-33106114 and the suggested orders are Hollywood nitrogen papdi dhokla chaat, Mutton seekh mint balls and have break, have kitkat.
