Live Barbeque has been a fad for quite a while and it does not seem to be fading anytime soon and keeping up the heat we have The Ancient Barbeque (T.A.B.) which opened some time ago in sector 63, Noida. This place is a sheer delight at any given day with a big capacity of around 120 to be accommodated and with thrift hands of master-chef Mr. Negi at work the food is a complete delight with some of the best old world dishes to be planted in front of you.

This place is equally good for herbivores as it is for carnivores with peculiar barbeques ranging from Narangi ananas ki chat to goolar ke kawab and on the counter end from Kandhari kawab to Barabanki ka tikka all with flavors intact and served right to your plate, so you don’t end up wasting your energy in getting around.

Some wonderful mocktails are also part of the menu as side orders and they taste really great I tried the Barbequed mary and Banana slide both of them taste as good as they look in the picture. The Narangi-ananas ki chaat is something you would not find in most of the places which is a very simple dish done really smartly with fresh cut pieces of Pineapple soaked with tangy orange sauce and left to grill as per choice.

The Goolar pasta kawab is the closest you could get to anything made of Goolar (Indian fig/Cluster fig) being plated in a fancy diner, nothing to worry as there are no wasps to haunt you. The Kandhari mutton seekh kawab are delectable with a great sublime taste and the fresh jus of mutton bouncing on your tastebuds.

My chosen star of the day from the grills was the Barabanki murgh tikka with ulte tawe ke parathe with paper thin and only palm sized paratha topped with radically good tasting murgh tikka this is some devouring sin.

After all the great glory on the table if you still have the capacity to pull yourself up and make it to the salad and main-course section then you can gorge on long list of salads and main course sections ranging from all across asia like som-tom salad, minted sundried tomato salad and sea-food salad and for main course you have Multani paneer, Ajwain sabz bahar, Mutton rogan josh, Fish in hot-pot sauce, Methi murg and so many more all served with your choice of bread.

The last round of sweets is also class apart act with Basbousa (a type of Somali cake), blueberry tart and white forest pastry including the usual Indian delicacies. With a PLF (pocket loosening factor) of 860 INR inclusive of taxes for a carnivorous dinner this is a deal not worth missing. Suggestive orders are Banana slide, Barabanki murgh tikka & Basbousa, you can contact them at (011)33105138.
